A page dedicated to the native flatware of The Woodlands, TX and any other place I find it.

While riding my bicycle around The Woodlands, TX I noted that indigenous flatware, while not common, occurred fairly frequently along the edges of roadways. I began collecting specimens and have now assembled an impressive set of examples.

The Erickson Flatware Garden is pictured below.

The most common form of indigenous flatware in my collection is the spoon, comprising the majority of my collection. It's rare to come to a fork in the road - or a knife for that matter.

Frequently I also note plastic cutlery in the same locations, however I have elected not to study these.  Perhaps someone else can choose to specialize.

2009 -  Population Crash!

During 2008, specimens were located at the rate of approximately one per 200 miles.  During 2009, flatware specimens were located at a lower rate - approximately one per 450 miles.  The other main indigenous metal species - coins - does not seem to have been affected.
